It's true – Selkirk Pro S1s don't crack easily. You can slam these repeatedly with power paddles without them breaking. They're definitely an outdoor ball as the bounce can be unpredictable on indoor gym floors. They hold up to cold weather and have a strong and smooth flight, even in the wind. While they have too much pace and spin for most beginners, they work for intermediate or advanced players who want a ball for competitive outdoor play. Just know that, while they are crack-resistant, y...
Selfkirk 1 year No crack warranty : I have only had my 4 balls for about two months and they are discolored and also cracking on me. So I am needing to know what I need to do next.
Meh..: All the Hype about these is they won't crack, they won't crack... Sure, they won't crack, because they'll go out of round almost instantly first!
I bought a box of 12 S1's... took one out at rec play, we played 5 points, and there was already a flat spot and it went out of round and warped.
We took a 2nd ball out.... same thing happened!
This was in 55+ degrees playing inside, on a hard court surface.
We have used these balls Outdoor in below 50 degree weather, and that's where thes
So far these balls are great. : Our group loves these balls and so far they haven’t cracked.
Good outdoor ball: I have been using the X40 for some time and decided to try this ball and enjoy playing with it. Seems a little harder/faster and have not cracked one yet when the X40 cracks much easier.
Selkirk Pro S1 balls: We are using these for our club. Our first balls were put into use in November, so they have seen some cold temperatures. So far, we’ve not witnessed one cracked ball!! We use these balls for our higher level players, so lots of bangers are abusing these balls. Shocked that we’ve not broken one yet. But they are disappearing from our shared club locker! So players must love them and sneak one “home” every so often. ☹️ we highly recommend these balls!!
They play fine and the warranty is great: Our outdoor all-weather group has been using these all winter. They are more durable than others, although a few did crack, and I'll take advantage of the warranty. I would (did, actually) buy again.
Selkirk pickleballs: These are very durable, holding up in both hot and cold weather.
Selkirk balls: Great ball
Pro S1 Pickleballs: Love these balls, responsive , no wobble
best ball so far: I did think that 2024 would be the year of a much better new ball coming out and the PRO S1 is it. It is a better process in the way they make this ball. It keeps its shape much better than a Dura or the new Vulcan ball that the PPA is using. It has awesome spin and really consistent bounces due to it stays round much better than any other ball and we have tried many. It didn't crack in November games outside in Colorado when we were cracking lots of other brands. This is t
Selkirk Balls: Great! We play in colder 30-38 degrees and haven’t broke one yet!?
selkirk ball: great. Love it. speed is perfect
Pickleball: These are fabulous balls to use in cold and warm weather. We know that Selkirk stands behind their product and has great customer service.
Durability : We play outside when it’s cold, and we were going through 8 to 10 balls a day. Since using these balls we have not crack any yet. They play great. Everyone seems to like them.
Selkirk Pro S1 Ball: I have been using the Pro S1 ball for a little over a week now and have rated it at a 4 out of 5 so far as I get used to its subtle differences. It definitely plays like a harder ball than I have been used to but has good speed and control with less visible wear on the surface. The bounces seem to be reliable on returns.
Selkirk Pro S1 balls: Before we had the Selkirk Pro S1 balls we played in 28 degree weather and cracked 9 balls in 2 hours. With the Selkirk balls no problem.
Saving Money: Our group plays through the winter in freezing temps and we are constantly cracking X40s, Duras and Core balls. I have been so happy with the Selkirk balls. Not one ball has cracked and we’ve been using them for about a month with hard hitters too. They do go slightly out of round, but still play great. A bit faster play than X40s, which makes the game fun.
selkirk pro s1 pickleballs: i purchased the selkirk pro s1 balls well played a lot of matches with these indoors on a new true rubberized asphalt surface , everyone in our groups enjoyed the new selkirk pro s1 balls we got true bounce , serves were good ground strokes , volleys and dinks were great also . they seem to play better and did not go a little soft
after hitting them a lot , i will purchase more
of these again in future
Selkirk Pro S1: We just started using these for cold weather and without a doubt they are the best we've used. Not one crack in 30 deg. temps. - a huge improvement over the X-40's. In the past, we have gone to the Onix "soft" balls which no one really liked - but they didn't crack. A few have gone out of round but it hasn't affected the flight of the ball very much, if at all. They are more expensive but if they last, it's worth it.
Selkirk Pro S1 ball: Have used this ball twice for about two hours each time in temps around mid 30’s without a fracture.
Ball plays a little different than the X-40 - harder and heavier but still excellent for play.
Selkirk Pro S1 pickleball: Too hard, too fast, less spin. Great durability.***PBC Response*** Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Every ball is not designed for every player or environment. Please reach out to our customer service team by phone or email for more information on how to return these with in 30days . - Anastasia, PBC Team
Selkirk Pro S1 Pickleballs: No cracking in cold weather so far. Seams a lot durable than other brands.
Selkirk pickleballs : Amazing! A friend fell on the ball and crushed it. Yikes. He was fine! I put the ball in my backpack and an hour or so when I took it out at home, it had puffed out to its original shape. Been playing with it at least 10 more days. It’s as good as new. It plays IMHO as well as the Dura and Franklin.
S1 pickleball: Played 90 games before it cracked, break all other balls every 15 games
Great Balls!!: Early review - wanted a ball that could "take the cold." Played 2 hours with some today - sr=trating temp was 27˚! No failures (unlike our previous favorite Franklin X-40). May go to this for our club.
