Great paddle so far — Pros: Helped increase my power, lightweight, great surface for spins — Cons: Grip is a smidge small so I may need to rewrap. Can't rate durability yet because it has only been a week but the app forces it
Solid All Around Choice — Pros: Power, Power and more Power! Wow!
Surprisingly good touch for a 12mm paddle
A superb defensive paddle. Don't have to do much on resets and counters are deadly with it
Power on my serve is noticeable
Handle is the perfect length for me. Even enough room for a twoey — Cons: Can be a bit poppy when playing with a faster ball (Dura, Vulcan etc.) It will take some getting used to. I would suggest drilling for a few weeks with it
Stock grip is very average. I put a PickleSkins overgrip on. Best in the game!
Complete Disappointment — Pros: Only Pro I can muster is the length and shape. — Cons: This paddle I thought would be a longer version of the ALW paddle with its power and pop. Couldn’t be more wrong. This paddle has an extremely small sweet spot and feels dead when you make contact. The feel is absent which made dinks inconsistent.
The handle shape is more square, much different than the ALW. I immediately went back to my ALW and will continue to use that until I can find a longer paddle with the same pop and feel.
The Bantam TKO-C is by far the best paddle ever made by Paddletek. It has tons of power and spin, but since it's not thermoformed, it balances them with control and forgiveness. It also won't have the core crushing issues that plagued Gen 3 power paddles. If you're an intermediate or advanced player who wants a powerful all-court paddle, give the TKO-C a look if you've got $250 to spend.
