Gearbox CX11E Power Pickleball Paddle - 8.5oz: The paddle has good power and feels quick in the hands, but personally, I did not feel I had as much control with this paddle. I tried it because this paddles reportedly will have a longer life than thicker paddles. For the price, even with the benefit of a longer life and more power, this was not the paddle for me.

CX11E Elongated 8.5 oz Power: I love this paddle! I love the 11 mm thickness. Thicker paddles seem to absorb too much energy, and I love the pop I get off the Gearbox 11 mm paddles. This is my first elongated paddle, and while the actual measurements might make you think it's not that much of an advantage, I definitely notice the additional reach, and I don't notice that the sweet spot is smaller than with a traditional paddle shape.
