C45 Hybrid — Pros: Love the light weight feeling of the paddle but definitely need to weight up the paddle a bit to make it a great paddle. — Cons: Twist weight is low but weighting up the paddle takes care of that.
Excellent paddle — Pros: It has a relatively small sweet spot which I find as positive since the paddle works also as a trainer. When the pickleball is hit flush, the paddle provides an alarming and satisfying "pop" sound. Power, spin, and pop are excellent. It took couple hours of play to get acclimated. Now I don't even use my other paddle that has worked well for me for 10 months. At the moment, durability is unknown. — Cons: None at this time.
The Franklin Parris Todd C45° is a gorgeous, ultra-light spin machine that makes you feel faster and braver with your targets. For me, the power gap is too big, especially at a premium price ($229.95). Big swingers who enjoy tinkering will have fun; most others will want more punch without the extra work.
Love the C45: I really like the extended handle length. The standard style paddle’s handle is just too short for how I like to grip my paddle. I like the slower/control game so usually avoid the new power paddles but this one has just the right amount of pop to still be able to make a power shot when needed. Good job Franklin!
